Forty One North is a premier hospitality destination on Rhode Island’s legendary harbor, and we’re looking for energetic international students to join our bar team for the Summer to Fall season.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Barback, you are the engine behind the bar. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Stocking and restocking beer, wine, spirits, mixers, glassware and garnishes
- Keeping ice wells full and bar stations clean, organized and guest-ready
- Supporting bartenders during busy service so drinks fly out fast
- Cutting fruit, preparing garnishes and setting up bar displays
- Clearing glassware, wiping surfaces and maintaining health and safety standards
- Assisting with deliveries, storage rotation and end-of-shift closing duties
No previous bar experience is required – our team will train you. What matters most is your energy, reliability and willingness to learn.

- Hours: approximately 38 hours per week

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English and a friendly, guest-focused attitude
- Ability to work on your feet, lift cases and kegs, and move quickly during peak hours
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Team players who bring positive energy to every shift
