Live Your Alaskan Summer at the Foot of Denali

Imagine finishing your shift, stepping outside, and seeing North America’s tallest peak glowing pink in the midnight sun. That’s an ordinary evening at HAP Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge in Trapper Creek, Alaska — and it can be your summer. We’re looking for energetic university students to join our Transportation Division as Fleet Detailers, keeping our motorcoaches and vehicles road-ready for guests exploring the Last Frontier.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Fleet Detailer, you’re the reason every coach rolls out looking spectacular. Your daily mission includes:

  • Washing, rinsing, and hand-drying motorcoaches, vans, and support vehicles
  • Vacuuming interiors, cleaning windows, wiping down seats, dashboards, and luggage bays
  • Restocking vehicle supplies and checking basic fluid levels and tire condition
  • Reporting maintenance issues to the transportation team
  • Keeping the wash bay, tools, and supply areas organized, safe, and clean
  • Supporting drivers and dispatch during busy tour departures

Why Trapper Creek, Alaska?

Trapper Creek sits on the doorstep of Denali State Park, surrounded by spruce forest, glacial rivers, and jaw-dropping mountain views. On your days off you can hike the Kesugi Ridge trail, try flightseeing over Denali, go river rafting, spot moose and bears, fish for salmon, and experience 20 hours of daylight in June. By late summer, the tundra turns gold and the northern lights start to appear — a rare double season most travelers never get to see.

The Package

  • $16.00 per hour
  • 35 hours per week, with a consistent schedule
  • Season: Summer through Fall — one of the longest programs available
  • Employer-arranged housing options and staff dining
  • Employee discounts and access to lodge staff activities
  • Work alongside an international team from around the world
  • Real hospitality and logistics experience for your CV

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 on a J-1 Work & Travel visa
  • Conversational English and a friendly, team-first attitude
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on outdoor work in variable weather
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and punctual
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 20 kg, and work on your feet
  • Availability from summer into fall — flexibility with weekends and early shifts

No previous experience required — full training is provided. If you want a summer of mountains, wildlife, new friends from six continents, and a paycheck in US dollars, apply now. Spots at Mt. McKinley Princess fill fast!
