The Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Northeast Atlanta is looking for energetic international students to join its food & beverage team as Server Assistants for the Summer to Fall season.
This is hospitality at its most stylish. What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting servers in the restaurant, rooftop bar, and poolside dining areas
- Setting, clearing, and resetting tables quickly and neatly between guests
- Refilling water, delivering bread, and running food and drinks to tables
- Polishing glassware, silverware, and keeping service stations fully stocked
- Greeting guests with a smile and answering simple questions about the menu
- Helping the team keep the dining spaces spotless and guest-ready at all times
- Communicating with the kitchen and bar to make sure orders flow smoothly
Pay & Hours
- Hourly rate: $15.00 per hour
- Tips: Yes – tip share on top of your hourly wage, which can significantly boost your weekly earnings, especially during busy rooftop and weekend shifts
- Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week
- Season: Summer to Fall
- Employer: HEI Hotels & Resorts – a large, experienced U.S. hospitality company that hosts international students every year

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English – you’ll be speaking with guests every shift
- A positive, guest-focused attitude and a genuine smile
- Ability to stay on your feet during a busy shift and work at a fast pace
- Team players who are reliable, punctual, and open to learning
- Neat, professional appearance in line with hotel grooming standards
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus, but full training is provided
