Front Desk Agents will be required to stand throughout their shifts (at least eight hours). In addition, lift, pull and/or carry up to 30 pounds and push up to 150 pounds on a daily basis.

Washing uniform after use, regular bathing & using deodorant are necessary. No visible tattoos, facial piercings or ear cuffs. One conservative styled, small earring is acceptable in each earlobe. Moderate cosmetics & clean/trimmed fingernails. Hair needs to be a natural color (no pink, etc.) neat/clean & pulled away from face & eyes. No overbearing perfumes/colognes. Men need to have a neat, trimmed, clean shaven appearance & hair trimmed above the collar. Beards need to be kept neat & trimmed.

Imagine starting your workday surrounded by the peaks of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, greeting travellers who have come from all over the world to hike, shop and explore. Newport Hotel Group at North Conway Grand Hotel is looking for friendly, energetic university students to join its Front Desk team for the Summer to Fall season – one of the most beautiful times of year in New England, when the famous autumn foliage turns the mountains gold and red.

This is a Work & Travel USA position built for students who love people, want real hospitality experience on their CV, and dream of living in a genuine American resort town.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcoming guests with a warm smile and handling check-in and check-out
  • Answering phone calls, emails and guest questions about the hotel and area
  • Processing reservations, payments and room assignments in the hotel system
  • Recommending local attractions – hiking trails, outlet shopping, scenic railways and more
  • Working closely with housekeeping, maintenance and management to keep guests happy
  • Solving small problems quickly and professionally so every stay feels special

Pay & Schedule

  • Hourly rate: $20 per hour
  • Hours: approximately 35 hours per week
  • Season: Summer to Fall

  • Overtime may be available during busy periods (subject to business needs)

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program
  • Strong upper-intermediate to advanced English – you’ll speak with guests all day
  • Outgoing, polite and confident personality with a service-first attitude
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel software
  • Professional appearance and reliability – punctuality really matters at the front desk
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and U.S. holidays
  • Previous hospitality, retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
