Located in the heart of San Diego, California, this iconic beachfront retail store is one of the most exciting places a student can spend a summer in America.
About the Position
As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors from all over the world. This retail role is perfect for outgoing students who love meeting new people and want to build real customer service experience in a fast-paced, fun environment.
- Greet customers warmly and help them find beachwear, souvenirs, and surf gear
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and keep merchandise looking fresh
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented sales floor
- Answer questions about products, prices, and local attractions
- Work as part of an energetic international team
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly rate: $17.25 per hour
- Hours per week: 32 guaranteed hours
- Season: Summer to Fall
- Tips: Not applicable for this position

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English and strong communication skills
- A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine smile
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work as part of a team
- Previous retail experience is a plus, but not required – full training is provided
