What You'll Be Doing

As a member of the housekeeping team, your day is active, structured, and full of teamwork. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and refreshing guest rooms – making beds, changing linens and towels, and restocking amenities
• Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms to hotel brand standards
• Preparing rooms for new arrivals and completing final quality checks
• Restocking and organizing housekeeping carts and supply closets
• Maintaining cleanliness in hallways, elevators, and common areas
• Reporting maintenance issues and lost-and-found items to your supervisor
• Communicating politely and professionally with international guests

No previous hotel experience is required – full on-the-job training is provided by supervisors who work with international students every season.

Ocean City, Maryland – Your Summer Playground

Ocean City is a legendary American summer destination: 10 miles of sandy Atlantic beaches, a 3-mile wooden boardwalk packed with pizza stands, funnel cakes, arcades and amusement rides, plus free summer concerts and firework nights. The town is famous for hosting hundreds of Work & Travel students every year, which means you'll instantly find a huge international community of new friends from Bulgaria, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

In your free time you can surf, paddleboard, play beach volleyball, rent a bike on the boardwalk, or take weekend trips to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City – all within easy travelling distance.

Pay & Benefits

• $15.00 per hour – a strong, competitive wage for a housekeeping role
• 36 guaranteed hours per week, with the possibility of extra hours during peak season
• Season length: Summer through Fall – one of the longest programs available, so you can earn more

What We're Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) program
• Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and greet guests
• Good physical stamina: you'll be on your feet, bending, and lifting light loads
• Attention to detail and pride in a job well done
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive team attitude
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays – the busiest and most fun times at the beach
