Your Summer Adventure Starts at the Gateway to Glacier National Park
Imagine clocking out of work and having the Rocky Mountains, turquoise glacial lakes and 700 miles of hiking trails waiting right outside your door. As a Retail Associate at Glacier Park Lodge, operated by Pursuit, you’ll spend your summer in East Glacier Park, Montana – the historic gateway to one of America’s most spectacular national parks.
This is more than a job. It’s a season of mountain sunrises, new friendships from around the world, and stories you’ll be telling for the rest of your life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests from around the world with a friendly smile and genuine hospitality
- Assisting visitors in finding the perfect souvenir, apparel item or outdoor gear
- Operating the cash register and handling cash, card and mobile payments accurately
- Restocking shelves, merchandising displays and keeping the store looking picture-perfect
- Receiving and organizing new inventory shipments
- Sharing insider tips about Glacier National Park – trails, viewpoints and must-see spots
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe retail environment
Why East Glacier Park, Montana?
Built in 1913, Glacier Park Lodge is a legendary timber-framed hotel with 40-foot Douglas fir columns in its Great Hall – guests call it a cathedral of the wilderness. Just minutes away is Glacier National Park, home to the world-famous Going-to-the-Sun Road, Two Medicine Lake, grizzly bears, mountain goats and over a million acres of untouched wilderness.
On your days off you can hike alpine passes, kayak crystal-clear lakes, spot wildlife, photograph waterfalls, or simply sit on the lodge porch and watch the sun set behind the peaks. Employee culture here is legendary – think staff hikes, bonfires, movie nights and a community of young people from all over the globe.
What You’ll Earn & Enjoy
- $14.50 per hour with approximately 35 hours per week
- Opportunity for additional hours during peak season

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 participating in the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine love of helping people
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of an international team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg
- Available for the full Summer to Fall season – late arrivals and early departures are less competitive
- Comfortable living in a remote, small-town mountain setting (limited nightlife, incredible nature!)
- No previous retail experience required – we’ll train you!
