Holland America Princess (HAP) Alaska operates a collection of premium wilderness lodges that welcome travellers from around the world. The Denali Lodge sits at the doorstep of Denali National Park and Preserve, hosting guests who come for once-in-a-lifetime rail journeys, flightseeing tours and wildlife safaris. Joining the housekeeping team means becoming part of a young, international crew that keeps this legendary property running all season long.
Your Daily Duties
As a Room Attendant, you will be an essential part of the guest experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and refreshing guest rooms to the lodge’s high standards – making beds, changing linens and towels
- Dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms and living areas
- Restocking amenities, toiletries and in-room supplies
- Managing your housekeeping cart and reporting maintenance issues or lost-and-found items
- Assisting with laundry and public-area cleaning when needed
- Greeting guests warmly and answering simple questions about the lodge
No previous hotel experience is required – full training is provided. What matters most is reliability, attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Pay & Benefits
- $16.00 per hour with 40 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements
- University student aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) programme
- Availability from summer through fall – a longer season is a big plus for this position
- Conversational English and a friendly, guest-focused personality
- Physical stamina: this is an active role involving standing, bending, lifting and walking throughout your shift
- Strong work ethic, punctuality and the ability to work independently and in a team
- Comfortable living in a remote, small-town wilderness setting
