Wake Up to Alaska Every Single Morning

Imagine finishing your shift and stepping outside to see snow-capped peaks, wild rivers, and maybe even a moose wandering past your dorm. That’s an ordinary day at HAP Holland America Denali Lodge, located at the gateway to Denali National Park — home to North America’s tallest mountain and one of the last true wildernesses on Earth.

We’re looking for energetic university students to join our dining team as Bussers for the Summer to Fall season. If you’re friendly, fast on your feet, and ready for the adventure of a lifetime, this is your summer.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables quickly between guests
  • Supporting servers so service runs smoothly during busy meal rushes
  • Refilling water, bringing bread, and helping guests feel welcome
  • Restocking dishes, glassware, silverware, and service stations
  • Keeping the dining room, bussing stations, and service areas spotless
  • Assisting with light dishwashing and end-of-shift closing duties
  • Working as part of an international team from all over the world

Why Denali National Park?

Denali is not just a job location — it’s a bucket-list destination. On your days off you can:

  • Hike backcountry trails and tundra ridges with 360° mountain views
  • Spot grizzly bears, caribou, Dall sheep, and bald eagles
  • Go whitewater rafting on the Nenana River or try ziplining and ATV tours
  • Experience the midnight sun — up to 20 hours of daylight in June
  • Catch the first northern lights of the season as autumn arrives
  • Travel to Anchorage, Fairbanks, Seward, or Talkeetna after your program

Pay & Benefits

  • $13.00 per hour with tips on top
  • 40 hours per week guaranteed — with overtime often available
  • Employer-arranged housing on or near the property
  • Employee meals and staff discounts
  • Free or discounted access to employee activities and excursions
  • A close-knit international staff community with events, hikes, and bonfires
  • Real U.S. hospitality experience for your CV and unbeatable English practice

What We’re Looking For

  • University student aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 program
  • Conversational English and a genuinely friendly attitude
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift trays throughout a busy shift
  • Team player who stays positive under pressure
  • Availability for the full Summer to Fall season, including weekends and holidays
  • No prior experience required — full training provided
