About the Position
The Woodlands Resort is a beautiful 402-room retreat set among towering pines just 30 minutes north of Houston. The resort features a famous Forest Oasis Waterpark with a lazy river, waterslides, pools, tennis courts, and miles of nature trails — and the Recreation team is at the heart of it all.
Your Day-to-Day Duties
- Welcoming guests to the pool and waterpark areas with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Setting up, arranging, and cleaning pool chairs, umbrellas, and towel stations
- Distributing towels and recreation equipment, and keeping inventory organized
- Assisting with resort activities, games, and family entertainment programs
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of recreation areas, decks, and equipment
- Answering guest questions about resort amenities and local attractions
- Supporting the recreation team with bike rentals, sports courts, and outdoor gear
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $14.00 per hour
- Hours: approximately 32 hours per week
- Season: Summer through Fall
- Tips: Not applicable for this position
- Overtime may be available during peak weekends and holidays

Requirements
- Full-time university student aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel program
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- Outgoing, positive personality and genuine customer-service mindset
- Comfortable working outdoors in warm Texas weather
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15–20 kg (chairs, umbrellas, equipment)
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and U.S. holidays
- Professional appearance and reliable, punctual work ethic
