Spend Your American Summer Outdoors in Delaware
If the idea of sitting in an office all summer makes you yawn, this one is for you. Homestead Campground in Georgetown, Delaware is looking for energetic Work & Travel USA participants to join its landscaping and maintenance crew from summer through fall. You’ll earn $15 per hour for 40 hours a week, work alongside an international team, and finish every shift with the satisfaction of seeing exactly what you accomplished.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the landscaping crew, you’ll help keep the campground looking picture-perfect for families and travelers arriving from all over the United States. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Mowing lawns, trimming edges and using string trimmers and blowers
- Weeding, mulching and caring for flower beds and garden areas
- Planting, watering and general grounds upkeep
- Raking leaves, clearing branches and seasonal fall clean-up
- Keeping campsites, walkways and common areas clean and tidy
- Light general maintenance tasks and assisting other departments when needed
- Basic care and cleaning of tools and equipment

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) program
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat and cooler fall weather
- Physically fit and able to lift, bend and stay on your feet during your shift
- Reliable, punctual and ready to take initiative
- Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and chat with the team
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new practical skills
- Previous landscaping or gardening experience is a plus, but not required – we’ll train you
