Why Bar Harbor, Maine?
Bar Harbor is one of New England’s most beloved summer destinations – a charming coastal town of colorful storefronts, whale-watching boats, blueberry pie and world-famous lobster rolls. It sits right at the gateway to Acadia National Park, with over 250 km of hiking trails, carriage roads for cycling, rocky beaches and postcard-perfect sunsets over Frenchman Bay.
Your summer to fall placement means you’ll also experience the beginning of the legendary New England foliage season, when the forests explode into red, orange and gold. Very few Work & Travel participants get to see this – you will.
