Kampgrounds of America (KOA) Cape Hatteras Outer Banks in Rodanthe, North Carolina is looking for energetic international students to join the team as Recreation Attendants for the Summer to Fall season.
KOA is America’s largest system of open-to-the-public campgrounds, and the Cape Hatteras location is one of its most iconic – sitting right where the ocean meets the sound, surrounded by dunes, kiteboarders and endless blue horizons. What You’ll Be Doing
- Organizing and hosting recreational activities for guests – games, tournaments, movie nights, arts & crafts and family events
- Setting up, monitoring and maintaining recreation areas such as the pool deck, playgrounds, courts and game rooms
- Greeting guests, answering questions and sharing tips about the best local beaches and attractions
- Keeping equipment clean, safe and well organized; light cleaning and sanitizing of activity areas
- Assisting with bike, kayak and equipment rentals and check-outs
- Supporting other departments during peak times and helping create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere

- Pay: $12.00 per hour (no tips)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, with possible overtime during peak season

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 program
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- Outgoing, positive personality who enjoys working with people of all ages
- Ability to work outdoors in warm, sunny weather and stand/walk for long periods
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evening shifts
- Team player attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic
