Imagine spending your summer in one of Michigan’s most beloved tourist towns, where the Mackinac Bridge stretches across sparkling blue water and thousands of happy travellers walk through the doors of your store every week. Magic Fashion Sharkys Mackinaw Outfitters is looking for energetic international students to join their retail team as Retail Sales Associates for the Work & Travel USA season.

This is a classic American Work & Travel experience: real customer service skills, real English practice every single day, a steady paycheck of $14 per hour for 40 hours a week, and a location that feels like a holiday postcard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming customers with a friendly smile and helping them find apparel, souvenirs and outdoor gear
• Answering questions about products, sizes, styles and local recommendations
• Operating the cash register and processing card and cash transactions
• Restocking shelves, folding clothing and keeping displays looking fresh and attractive
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming sales floor
• Supporting your teammates during busy tourist rushes and helping with opening or closing duties

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA programme
• Conversational to good English – you will be speaking with customers all day
• A positive, outgoing personality and genuine willingness to help people
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light boxes of stock
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings during peak tourist season
• No prior retail experience required – full training is provided
