Washing uniform after use, regular bathing & using deodorant are necessary. No visible tattoos, facial piercings or ear cuffs. One conservative styled, small earring is acceptable in each earlobe. Moderate cosmetics & clean/trimmed fingernails. Hair needs to be a natural color (no pink, etc.) neat/clean & pulled away from face & eyes. No overbearing perfumes/colognes. Men need to have a neat, trimmed, clean shaven appearance & hair trimmed above the collar. Beards need to be kept neat & trimmed.

As a Front Desk Agent at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel, managed by the respected Newport Hotel Group, you’ll be the very first person these guests meet – and the one who makes their stay unforgettable.

This is a premium Work & Travel USA placement for university students who want more than just a summer job: real hospitality experience at a professionally managed hotel, a strong hourly wage, and one of the most beautiful coastal destinations in America right outside your door.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcoming guests with a genuine smile and completing check-in and check-out procedures
  • Handling reservations, room assignments, and payments using the hotel’s property management system
  • Answering phone calls and emails, and responding to guest questions and requests
  • Recommending the best beaches, restaurants, ferries, and attractions on Cape Cod
  • Coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to keep everything running smoothly
  • Resolving guest concerns quickly, calmly, and professionally
  • Keeping the lobby and front desk area tidy, organized, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 with valid J-1 Work & Travel sponsorship
  • Upper-intermediate to advanced spoken English (you’ll be speaking with guests all day)
  • A warm, outgoing personality and a genuine desire to help people
  • Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills; previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus but not required
