Imagine finishing your shift, grabbing your towel and walking straight to a lake so blue that people call it the Caribbean of the Rockies. That’s everyday life in Garden City, Utah, home of stunning Bear Lake – and your workplace for Work & Travel USA 2026. Sun Outdoors Garden City is looking for energetic university students to join its housekeeping team as Resort Housekeepers from 08 May to 30 September 2026, earning a solid $20.00 per hour for 35 hours per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Resort Housekeeper you are the person who makes guests say “wow” the moment they open the door. Your daily duties will include:
- Cleaning and refreshing guest accommodations – cabins, cottages, RV units and resort rooms
- Changing linens, making beds and restocking towels, toiletries and guest supplies
- Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms to resort standards
- Keeping common areas, laundry rooms and outdoor spaces tidy and welcoming
- Reporting maintenance issues and lost-and-found items to your supervisor
- Managing laundry: washing, drying, folding and organizing resort linens
- Greeting guests with a friendly smile and helping with simple requests

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) program
- Conversational English and a positive, guest-focused attitude
- Attention to detail – you notice the little things others miss
- Physical stamina: the role involves standing, bending, lifting and moving between units
- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work weekends and holidays during the busy season
- Team spirit and a genuine desire to experience American culture
