Your Summer Adventure Begins in Olympic National Park

Imagine finishing your shift and soaking in natural mineral hot springs surrounded by ancient rainforest, waterfalls and snow-capped peaks. That’s everyday life at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, operated by Aramark Destinations Olympic Peninsula near Port Angeles, Washington — one of the most spectacular Work & Travel USA destinations in the country.

We’re hiring energetic university students aged 18–25 for Front of House Resort Worker positions from summer into fall. If you love meeting people from around the world, thrive in a fast-paced team and dream of spending your days off hiking to waterfalls, this is your job.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting and welcoming resort guests with a warm, friendly attitude
  • Working in front-of-house areas such as the restaurant, café, gift shop, poolside snack bar or front desk support
  • Taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling cash register / POS transactions
  • Setting, clearing and resetting tables; keeping dining and public areas clean and inviting
  • Answering guest questions about the resort, hot spring pools and nearby trails
  • Restocking supplies and merchandise, and supporting your teammates during busy periods
  • Following all health, safety and food-handling standards

Why Sol Duc Hot Springs?

Sol Duc sits deep inside Olympic National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Washington’s wild Olympic Peninsula. Within minutes of your workplace you’ll find the famous Sol Duc Falls, moss-draped temperate rainforest, and trailheads leading into the Seven Lakes Basin. A short drive takes you to Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge and the dramatic Pacific coastline at Rialto and Ruby Beach.

Port Angeles is your gateway town for shopping, cafés and a ferry ride to Victoria, Canada. Seattle — with its music scene, markets and international airport — is just a few hours away, perfect for weekend trips and your post-program travel month.

Pay & Benefits

  • $17.75 per hour — one of the strongest Work & Travel wages in the USA
  • 32 hours per week guaranteed, with opportunities for additional hours during peak season
  • Employer-provided housing available on or near the resort (deducted from pay)
  • Employee meal program and staff discounts
  • Access to the hot spring mineral pools — a legendary staff perk
  • Live and work inside a U.S. National Park with an international team of students
  • Real hospitality experience with Aramark, a global industry leader, for your CV

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
  • Conversational to good English — you’ll speak with guests every day
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine service mindset
  • Ability to stand, walk and lift light loads throughout your shift
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Team spirit, reliability and a positive attitude — no prior experience required, full training provided

Important to Know

Sol Duc is a remote mountain location with limited mobile signal and no public transport — perfect if you want a true nature immersion, less ideal if you want city nightlife. Pack warm layers and rain gear: Pacific Northwest weather changes fast, and evenings can be cool even in summer. The season runs from summer into fall, so you’ll see the forest change colours before you head home.

Spots at national park resorts fill fast every year. Apply now and spend your summer where the rainforest meets the hot springs!

About Washington

Washington State spans the Pacific coast, Olympic and North Cascades mountains and the green city of Seattle. Popular jobs include lake and mountain resorts, hotels and national-park lodges.
