The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is looking for friendly, energetic university students to join their team as a Host/Cashier for the Summer to Fall season. The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is a beloved non-profit organization that keeps the spirit of America’s 26th President alive. Each year they welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors to Medora for the famous Medora Musical, the Pitchfork Steak Fondue, historic sites, restaurants, and hotels. Working here means being part of a team that creates unforgettable memories for guests from all across the United States.
Your Job Duties
- Greeting guests with a warm welcome and seating them in the restaurant or venue
- Managing the waiting list and organizing seating charts during busy periods
- Operating the cash register, processing payments (cash and card) and issuing receipts
- Answering guest questions about the menu, the town of Medora and local attractions
- Keeping the host stand, entry area and dining space clean, tidy and inviting
- Supporting servers and other team members to ensure smooth service
- Handling guest feedback in a friendly, professional way

Requirements
- Currently enrolled university student, age 18–25, eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- Positive attitude, friendly personality and a genuine smile
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card payments
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work weekends and holidays
- Availability for the full Summer to Fall season
