Why Juneau?
Juneau is the only U.S. state capital you can’t drive to – you arrive by plane or boat, and that’s part of the magic. In your free time you can hike to the Mendenhall Glacier, ride the Mount Roberts Tramway, kayak past sea lions, watch humpback whales breach in Auke Bay, or chase salmon runs and bald eagles along the Tongass National Forest trails. Summer days stretch to nearly 18 hours of daylight, which means plenty of after-work adventures with your international crew.
About Alaska
Alaska is the ultimate Work & Travel adventure - glaciers, Denali, midnight sun and untouched wilderness. Most students work in remote lodges, national-park resorts and on tour boats, earning some of the highest summer wages in the country.
