The job as Front of House Restaurant Worker
What you'll do
- Greet guests and rotate tables to accommodate large/small groups
- Clean tables and organize guest areas
- Assist with drinks
- Manage guest lists in order of arrival
- Perform a friendly, efficient, and professional service of food and beverage to all restaurant guests and adequately secure payment
- Pre-bus tables, including dirty plates, glassware, condiments, trash, ashtrays, and silverware
- Help with dishwashing shifts a few times a week
- Greet all guests and rotate seating to ensure the best service
- Confirm dinners are complete and presentable before providing them to guests
- Total bills and accept payments
- Use a cash register to process guest payments
- Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages, serving only guests 21 years of age or older, and speak to your manager if you feel a guest is intoxicated
- Help create a pleasant atmosphere for the guests dining
- Attend departmental and team meetings as well as participate in additional training courses
- Follow safety rules, report any safety hazards to management immediately, and safely perform all duties
