Job duties
- Assist at the marina office and marina beach boat station with Kayak, SUP & Paddle Boat Rentals
- Greet and provide customer service to guests while anticipating their needs
- Book reservations and coordinate registration
- Operate a register and/or software system to complete cash and credit card transactions
- Answer phone calls and emails and deliver messages as needed
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming and assisting guests at the marina, boat launch and beach areas
- Helping visitors board and disembark boats, kayaks, paddleboards and jet skis safely
- Handing out life jackets, safety equipment and giving basic orientation to guests
- Assisting with rental check-ins, check-outs and light equipment cleaning
- Keeping docks, beach and marina areas clean, tidy and safe
- Answering guest questions about activities, tours and the Lake Tahoe area
- Supporting the team wherever needed – teamwork is everything at the marina
Pay & Working Conditions
- Hourly rate: $17.20 per hour
- Tips: Yes – guests are generous, and great service pays off
- Hours: approximately 35 hours per week, with the possibility of extra hours in peak season
- Season: Summer to Fall – enjoy the busy summer and the stunning golden autumn at the lake
- Location: Zephyr Cove, Nevada, on the shore of Lake Tahoe

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program (J-1 visa)
- Conversational to good English – you’ll be talking to guests all day
- Friendly, outgoing and genuinely enjoy helping people
- Comfortable working outdoors in the sun and being on your feet
- Able to lift and carry equipment (life jackets, paddles, boards)
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work weekends and holidays – that’s when the lake is busiest
- Swimming ability and any watersports experience is a big plus (not required)
