Cedar Point is an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, less than 50 miles from Cleveland, and part of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Available positions include ride operator, food service associate, games sales associate, housekeeping attendant, linen attendant and traffic associate. Housing is guaranteed for all hired participants in employer-owned or employer-arranged accommodation, and you may also choose to find your own; a second job here is unlikely.
The job as Ride Operator
What you'll do
- Verify riders are properly seated and safety restraints are secure before every ride cycle.
- Operate ride control systems which may vary in terms of complexity.
- Memorize and deliver scripted safety announcements over a microphone.
- Screen riders to ensure they comply with ride requirements including proper height/weight restrictions, loose article and ride admission policy.
- Maintain a professional, cheerful, and hospitable disposition while engaging guests at every point of contact.
- Conduct pre-opening and closing checks to ensure the ride is safe, secure, and clean.
- Anticipate rider needs while being alert and attentive.

Housing
Housing is provided in Cedar Point's associate dormitories at 2075 1st Street, Sandusky, OH 44870, with a lease agreement. There is 24/7 security and Resident Assistants, plus the Associate Recreation Center offering volleyball, basketball, soccer, pool and table tennis, a lounge with TVs, Wi-Fi and a computer lab. You may also arrange your own housing.
