Days Inn Virginia Beach at the Beach is a family-owned hotel in the heart of the resort area of Virginia Beach, Virginia – right across the street from the ocean and just steps from the famous boardwalk. The same family has run the business for 40 years.
You'll be part of a small, hard-working team that treats employees like family and has experience with students from many countries. Staff are welcome to use the hotel's continental breakfast in the morning. Beaches, an aquarium, shopping and tourist attractions are all nearby, and many students come back for another summer.
The job as Housekeeper
What you'll do
- Making beds
- Replacing used towels with new ones
- Vacuuming carpets
- Cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the guest rooms
- Cleaning bathrooms and ensuring new toiletries are placed at appropriate spaces
- Looking out for items guests may have left behind and taking them to the lost and found at the front desk
- Reporting any maintenance issues noticed inside the room to the front desk
- Making the general hotel environment appealing and comfortable to guests

Housing
The employer provides housing at 205 11th Street and 1000 Atlantic Avenue, both located where the business is, so you live right at your workplace. Rooms are shared by 2-4 people, and groups or couples may room together. You get full kitchens with microwave, private baths, air conditioning, furnishings, linens, free WiFi and use of the laundry facility.
