General information
Job duties
- Sorting laundry to be cleaned according to linen type (bed sheets, towels, etc.)
- Placing or feeding laundry into large washers, dryers, towel processing machines, and ironing machines and properly operating this equipment.
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of linens.
- Sorting, folding, and counting linens for delivery.
- Keeping laundry machines, floor, and all other equipment clean and free from laundry lint, soap remains, or dirt.
- Collecting soiled linens in bags for laundering and transporting them to designated areas.
- Delivering clean linens to housekeeping areas.
- Replenishing supplies in the laundry and/or housekeeping departments.
- Keeping supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.
- Attending departmental and team meetings as well as participating in all additional training courses.
- Performing all duties in a safe manner.
- Moving to different locations or job assignments within the property, as needed; other duties may be assigned.

As a PM Laundry Attendant at the Harrison Group Hilton Oceanfront Suites, you’ll be part of a respected hospitality team at one of Maryland’s most popular beach destinations — earning $15 per hour for approximately 32 hours per week from summer through fall.
The PM (afternoon/evening) schedule is a huge win for Work & Travel students: your mornings and early afternoons are free for the beach, sightseeing, sleeping in after a night out, or picking up a second job to boost your savings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sorting, washing, drying and folding hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry
- Operating commercial washers, dryers and folding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspecting linens for stains or damage and treating or removing items as needed
- Stocking and organizing clean linen carts and supply closets for housekeeping
- Keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organized throughout your shift
- Supporting the housekeeping team and communicating with supervisors about supply levels

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Basic to intermediate English communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic — the team counts on you
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/push laundry carts (physical role)
- Comfortable working afternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn — no previous experience required
