About the employer
Sea Shell Shop is a beach-town retail store of about 10,000 square feet in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, very close to the Atlantic Ocean. The business also runs a miniature golf course called Shell We Golf right next to the shop, and it sits on the bus route, so getting around is easy.
The business is open from 9:30 AM to 10 PM, and your schedule is 34–36+ hours a week, 5 days, at $15.00 per hour. Where you work is decided when you arrive. Excellent English, a neat appearance and closed shoes are expected; no uniform is provided. The team is international.
The job as Retail Sales
What you'll do
- Greet and assist customers, providing guidance and product knowledge.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and process returns/exchanges.
- Maintain store appearance, including stocking, organizing, and merchandising shells and gift items.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person professionally and courteously.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and tracking stock levels.
- Support store events, promotions, and seasonal activities.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention.

Housing
Housing is not provided – you arrange your own through local realtors (cbanker.com, jacklingo.com) or newspaper rentals; Bob Wolhar is recommended and offers shared rooms with bathrooms and kitchen use. Everything is within one to two miles, so you can bike, walk on sidewalks, or take the bus that stops in front of the store.
