At Beach Rider Amusements, located inside the legendary Broadway at the Beach entertainment complex, you won’t just have a summer job – you’ll be part of the memories thousands of families make every single day.
This is Work & Travel USA at its very best: $12 per hour, plus tips, a guaranteed 35 hours per week, and a season that runs from Summer through Fall – giving you extra weeks to earn, explore and enjoy the Atlantic coast long after other programs finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Ride Operator, you are the face of the fun. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Safely operating amusement rides and attractions following strict safety procedures
- Greeting guests with energy and a smile – you set the tone for their whole visit
- Checking height and safety requirements, securing restraints and harnesses
- Giving clear safety announcements and instructions to riders
- Performing opening and closing ride inspections with your supervisor
- Keeping your ride area clean, organized and welcoming
- Scanning tickets, wristbands and assisting with queue lines
- Answering guest questions about the park, rides and Broadway at the Beach
No previous experience is needed – full paid training is provided. What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Requirements
- Current university student aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English – you’ll speak with guests all day
- Outgoing, energetic personality and a genuine smile
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in summer heat
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail – guest safety is priority number one
- Reliable, punctual and a great team player
