Ready to swap lecture halls for a busy kitchen in one of the most beautiful corners of the USA? Bishops Store in Jackman, Maine is looking for energetic Kitchen Crew members to join the team from summer through fall. Earn $15 per hour plus tips while working around 38 hours per week – and still have plenty of time to explore the lakes, forests and mountains right outside your door.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items – sandwiches, pizza, fried foods, breakfast items and daily specials
  • Setting up and stocking prep stations with fresh ingredients
  • Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organized and up to U.S. health and safety codes
  • Washing dishes, utensils and equipment as part of the team rotation
  • Working closely with the front-of-house crew to get orders out fast and fresh
  • Helping with deliveries, storage and rotating stock

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
  • Conversational English – enough to follow instructions and communicate with the team
  • Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen
  • Team player who can also take initiative
  • Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but not required – full training provided
  • Availability from summer through the fall season
