What You’ll Be Doing
As the heart of the kitchen operation, you’ll keep everything running smoothly and hygienically. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Operating commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washing pots, pans and kitchen tools
- Sorting, rinsing, drying and organising dishes, glassware, cutlery and cooking equipment
- Keeping the dish area, floors and work surfaces clean and sanitised to US health standards
- Restocking clean dishware for the kitchen and breakfast service teams
- Taking out trash, breaking down cardboard and managing recycling
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with light prep tasks during busy periods

What We’re Looking For
- University student aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Basic conversational English (enough to understand instructions and teamwork)
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work as part of a fast-moving kitchen team
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 15–20 kg
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness
- Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous experience is not required – full training is provided
