Imagine starting your workday surrounded by snow-capped peaks, bald eagles overhead and the salty breeze of the Inside Passage. As a Fleet Detailer with HAP Juneau Transportation Division, you’ll be part of the team that keeps Juneau’s tour and transportation vehicles looking picture-perfect for visitors arriving from all over the world. This is a hands-on, active role in one of the most breathtaking destinations in the United States – ideal for university students who want a real American work experience with a wilderness backdrop.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Washing, rinsing and drying motorcoaches, vans and support vehicles
- Cleaning and vacuuming interiors, wiping down seats, windows and surfaces
- Polishing exteriors, cleaning wheels and detailing trim to a high standard
- Restocking vehicles with supplies and checking basic cleanliness before departures
- Keeping the wash bay, tools and detailing equipment organized and safe
- Communicating with drivers and dispatch to prepare vehicles on schedule

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with valid J-1 Work & Travel sponsorship
- Conversational English and a friendly, cooperative attitude
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather (rain gear is a must in Juneau!)
- Able to stand, bend, reach and lift for extended periods
- Attention to detail and pride in a job well done
- Availability for the full summer-to-fall period, including weekends
