HAP Skagway Transportation Division is looking for energetic university students to join its team as Fleet Detailers. If you like hands-on work, being part of a close-knit crew, and finishing the day with a hike, kayak trip or bonfire with new friends from across the globe, this is your summer.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Fleet Detailer, you are the reason our motorcoaches and tour vehicles look spotless for thousands of guests each week. Your daily duties include:
- Washing, rinsing, drying and polishing the exterior of motorcoaches, vans and support vehicles
- Vacuuming, wiping and sanitising interiors – seats, windows, floors and luggage bays
- Checking and topping up basic fluids and reporting maintenance issues to the shop team
- Keeping the wash bay, tools and supplies organised, clean and safe
- Supporting the transportation team with light shuttle-prep and yard tasks
- Working as part of a fast-moving team to meet daily departure schedules

What We’re Looking For
- University student aged 18–25 on a J-1 Work & Travel USA visa
- Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and work with a team
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on outdoor work in changing Alaskan weather
- Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented – clean vehicles are all about the details!
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a team-first mindset
- Ability to commit to the full season, from summer into fall
- No previous experience required – full training is provided
