As an Aquatics Lifeguard at Kings Dominion, a Six Flags Park in Doswell, Virginia, you won’t just have a summer job – you’ll have the most exciting office in the USA: the award-winning WaterWorks water park, spread across 20 acres of slides, wave pools and lazy rivers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitoring assigned pools, slides, wave pools and lazy rivers to keep guests safe
• Enforcing water park rules in a friendly, confident and professional way
• Performing water rescues, first aid and CPR when needed
• Testing water quality and helping maintain a clean, safe aquatics area
• Greeting and assisting guests with a smile – you’re the face of the park
• Attending regular in-service training sessions to keep your skills sharp

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 on the Work & Travel USA program
• Strong swimming ability – you must pass a swim test (swim 100+ meters, tread water, retrieve an object from the pool bottom)
• Conversational English and good communication skills
• Responsible, alert and calm under pressure – safety comes first
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, sunny weather
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude and a team-player mindset
• No previous experience required – full training provided!
