Shirt Shops of Cape May is looking for friendly, energetic international students to join the team as Store Associates for the summer-to-fall season.

About the Job

Shirt Shops of Cape May is a busy retail store in the heart of a popular tourist town, selling t-shirts, beachwear, and souvenirs to visitors from all over the United States and the world. You’ll be right in the middle of the action, practicing your English every single day with real customers.

• Greet and assist customers, helping them find the perfect shirt or souvenir
• Operate the cash register and process card and cash transactions
• Restock shelves, fold and organize merchandise, and keep displays looking great
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organized sales floor
• Receive and unpack shipments and support with inventory
• Answer questions about products, sizes, and local recommendations

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly rate: $16.50 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime may be available during peak weeks)
• Season: Summer to Fall
• Tips: Not applicable for this position
• Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are typical in a resort town – that’s when the town comes alive!

Requirements

• Current university student aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
• Intermediate or better conversational English
• Friendly, outgoing personality and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working on your feet during busy shifts
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Availability from summer through the fall season
