Imagine finishing your shift and watching elk wander down Main Street while the sun sets over the mountains. That’s an ordinary evening in Gardiner, Montana – the original gateway to Yellowstone National Park – and it could be your summer. The Corral, a beloved local restaurant famous for its legendary burgers and warm Western hospitality, is looking for energetic Food Runners to join the team for the Work & Travel USA season.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Food Runner, you are the vital link between the kitchen and our hungry guests. Your day-to-day duties include:
- Delivering freshly prepared meals from the kitchen to guest tables quickly and accurately
- Supporting servers and bussers during busy summer rushes
- Clearing, resetting and wiping down tables so guests are seated fast
- Refilling drinks, restocking service stations and keeping the dining area spotless
- Greeting international travellers and locals with a genuine smile and answering simple questions
- Helping with light closing duties and general cleanliness of the restaurant
Pay & Working Hours
- Hourly rate: $9.00 per hour
- Tips: Yes – tip-outs from a busy tourist season can significantly boost your weekly earnings
- Hours: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of extra shifts during peak weeks
- Season: Summer through Fall – one of the longest and most profitable seasons in the Yellowstone area

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English and a friendly, guest-focused attitude
- Physical stamina – you’ll be on your feet, carrying trays and moving quickly
- Team players who stay positive under pressure
- No previous restaurant experience required – full training provided
- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn American service standards
