What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting arriving guests with a warm smile and completing check-in and check-out procedures
- Answering phone calls and emails, taking reservations, and providing information about the resort
- Using the resort’s property management system to update bookings, room assignments, and payments
- Recommending local beaches, restaurants, bike trails, and attractions to curious guests
- Handling guest requests and questions quickly and politely, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Keeping the front desk and lobby area tidy, welcoming, and well organized
- Supporting your teammates during busy check-in periods and helping create a five-star guest experience
Your Summer Home: Dennis Port, Cape Cod
Dennis Port sits on the warm, calm south shore of Cape Cod – one of New England’s most iconic summer destinations. Think soft sandy beaches, seafood shacks serving fresh lobster rolls, ice cream stands, mini-golf, sunset cruises, and charming seaside villages connected by the famous Cape Cod Rail Trail.
On your days off you can swim in Nantucket Sound, rent a bike, take a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, go whale watching in Provincetown, or hop on a bus to Boston (about 1.5–2 hours away) to explore the Freedom Trail, Harvard, and Fenway Park. The Cape is filled with international students every summer, so you’ll make friends from dozens of countries.
Position & Benefits
- Pay: $19.50 per hour – one of the strongest front desk rates on Cape Cod
- Hours: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of a consistent schedule
- Season: Summer through Fall – enjoy the busy beach season and the beautiful, quieter New England autumn

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) program
- Upper-intermediate to advanced conversational English – you’ll be the first point of contact for guests
- A positive, guest-focused attitude and a professional appearance
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to stay calm and friendly under pressure
- Basic computer skills; previous hotel, reception, or customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
