Imagine spending your summer just steps away from the golden sand dunes of the Jersey Shore, working at one of New Jersey’s most beloved boutique waterfront resorts. The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor is looking for energetic, friendly and reliable international students to join its food and beverage team as Food Runners for the Summer to Fall season.

About the Position

As a Food Runner, you are the vital link between the kitchen and the guest experience. You’ll be moving, communicating and making sure every plate reaches the table looking perfect and arriving hot (or perfectly chilled!).

• Deliver food orders quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guest tables
• Support servers and bussers during busy dinner and weekend brunch services
• Reset, clear and polish tables between guests
• Restock service stations with plates, cutlery, glassware and napkins
• Assist with basic dining room setup and closing duties
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety

What You’ll Earn

• $6.25 per hour (tipped position rate)
• Tips included – food runners share in the tip pool, which can significantly boost your weekly earnings at this busy, upscale venue
• 40 hours per week guaranteed schedule
• Extended Summer to Fall season – earn longer than a standard summer job

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
• Conversational to good English communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk and carry trays for long shifts in a fast-paced setting
• Positive attitude, teamwork mindset and a genuine smile for guests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but full training is provided
