Imagine spending your summer on the beautifully manicured grounds of a private country club just outside Chicago, surrounded by golf greens, elegant dining rooms and a friendly international team. Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois is looking for energetic university students to join its dining service team as Bus Attendants from 15 May 2026 to 15 September 2026.

About the Position

As a Bus Attendant (Busser), you are the heartbeat of the dining room. You keep everything running smoothly so that members and their guests enjoy a flawless experience — and you gain hands-on hospitality skills that look fantastic on any CV.

Your Daily Duties

  • Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables quickly and neatly between guests
  • Setting tables with linens, glassware, silverware and condiments
  • Refilling water glasses, delivering bread and assisting servers during service
  • Supporting banquets, weddings, golf events and member gatherings
  • Keeping service stations, dining areas and bussing carts stocked and spotless
  • Working as part of a team with servers, hosts and kitchen staff

Pay & Working Hours

  • Hourly rate: $16.00 per hour
  • Guaranteed hours: approximately 35 hours per week
  • Tips: not included in this position — your solid hourly wage is your steady income
  • Season: 15 May 2026 – 15 September 2026 (4 full months of earning)

Requirements

  • Full-time university student aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program (J-1 visa)
  • Conversational English — enough to communicate politely with guests and colleagues
  • Positive attitude, punctuality and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand, walk and carry trays throughout your shift
  • Neat, professional appearance and willingness to follow club standards
  • Availability for the full period: 15 May – 15 September 2026
  • Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required — full training is provided
