At Wildwater Cullman, one of Alabama’s most popular family waterparks, you will spend your Work & Travel USA season doing one of the most respected and rewarding jobs in the country – keeping guests safe as a certified Lifeguard.

No experience? No problem. Full professional lifeguard training and certification are provided on site, so you will finish the summer with an internationally recognized skill set, real responsibility on your CV and a serious confidence boost.

Your Daily Duties

• Actively scanning and supervising assigned pool, slide and lazy river zones
• Enforcing park safety rules in a friendly, professional way
• Responding to emergencies, performing rescues and basic first aid when needed
• Assisting guests with questions, directions and slide dispatching
• Testing water quality and helping keep deck areas clean and hazard-free
• Working as part of a rotating team, so you always get regular breaks in the shade

What You Get

• $13.00 per hour – a solid rate for a first-time Work & Travel position
• 35 hours per week guaranteed, with possible extra shifts in peak season

Requirements

• University student aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
• Confident swimmer – you must pass a basic swim test (swim approx. 50–100m, tread water, retrieve an object from the pool bottom)
• Conversational English and good communication skills
• Responsible, alert and calm under pressure
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, sunny weather
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine smile for guests
