About the Position: Retail Associate
As a Retail Associate you are the friendly face that thousands of park visitors meet on their way into the wilderness. You will help guests choose the perfect souvenir, hiking essentials, snacks or that classic Glacier hoodie — and send them off with a great story about Montana.
- Greeting and assisting guests from all over the world with a warm, helpful attitude
- Operating the cash register and handling card and cash transactions accurately
- Stocking shelves, organising displays and keeping the store clean and inviting
- Receiving deliveries, pricing merchandise and helping with inventory counts
- Answering basic questions about the park, trails, shuttle times and local attractions
- Supporting your team during busy peak-season days with a positive, can-do spirit

Many students also add trips to Yellowstone, Seattle or Canada at the end of the season.

What We Are Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA programme
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- A friendly, guest-focused personality and a genuine smile
- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate boxes
- Flexibility, teamwork and enthusiasm for living in a remote natural setting (limited mobile signal and shops — but unlimited nature!)
