Imagine a summer where the sun barely sets, the Chena River flows right past your workplace, and the northern lights start dancing above you as autumn arrives. HAP Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge in Fairbanks, Alaska is looking for energetic international students to join its kitchen team as Dish Stewards for the Summer to Fall season.

This is one of Alaska’s most iconic riverside lodges, welcoming travelers from all over the world who come to explore Denali, the Arctic Circle and the Alaskan wilderness. Behind every great guest experience is a strong back-of-house team – and that could be you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and hand-washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Keeping dishes, glassware, cutlery and cookware clean, sanitized and ready for service
• Maintaining a clean and organized dish area, kitchen floors and work stations
• Taking out trash, breaking down boxes and supporting recycling procedures
• Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep tasks and stocking supplies
• Following all health, safety and food-handling standards

Who We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
• Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and work with a team
• Physically fit: able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 22 kg and work in a warm, humid kitchen
• Reliable, punctual and happy to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine team-player mindset
• No previous experience required – full training is provided

Note: This position does not include tips, but the high hourly rate and guaranteed hours make it a fantastic earner for the season.
