HAP Fairbanks Transportation Division is looking for energetic university students to join their team as Fleet Detailers in Fairbanks, Alaska. About the Employer

HAP Fairbanks Transportation Division is part of a well-established hospitality and tourism operation that moves thousands of visitors across Alaska every season. Their motorcoach fleet is the first thing guests see – and keeping it spotless is where you come in. You’ll be part of a friendly, international team that keeps Alaska’s tourism running smoothly.

Your Responsibilities

  • Washing, drying and detailing motorcoaches, vans and support vehicles
  • Cleaning interiors: vacuuming, wiping surfaces, windows and mirrors
  • Restocking vehicles with supplies and passenger amenities
  • Checking fluid levels and reporting any maintenance issues to supervisors
  • Keeping the wash bay, tools and equipment organized and safe
  • Supporting the transportation team with basic yard and lot duties

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly rate: $16.00 per hour
  • Hours: approximately 40 hours per week
  • Season: Summer to Fall – one of the longest and most profitable Work & Travel periods
  • Tips: Not applicable for this position
  • Overtime opportunities may be available during peak season

What We’re Looking For

  • University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program (J-1 visa)
  • Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and communicate with your team
  • Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on outdoor work in varying weather
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • No previous experience required – full training is provided
