That’s a season at Interlaken Inn in Lakeview, Connecticut.

We’re hiring energetic Food & Beverage Servers and Kitchen Staff for our Summer to Fall season through the Work & Travel USA program. If you love hospitality, teamwork and a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is your American summer.

What You’ll Be Doing

Food & Beverage Servers:

• Greeting and seating guests with genuine New England hospitality
• Taking food and beverage orders and making friendly recommendations
• Serving meals in our restaurant, on the terrace and at private events
• Setting and resetting tables, polishing glassware and preparing service stations
• Handling payments and thanking guests so they leave smiling

Kitchen Staff:

• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (washing, chopping, portioning)
• Plating and organizing dishes for service
• Keeping work stations, dishware and equipment clean and sanitized
• Receiving and storing deliveries following food-safety standards
• Supporting the team during busy banquet and wedding services

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
• Intermediate to strong conversational English (essential for server roles)
• A positive, guest-focused attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to stand for long shifts and work weekends, evenings and holidays
• Team spirit, reliability and punctuality
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus — but not required
