Imagine finishing your shift and walking straight onto a dock on Lake Winnipesaukee, the sun setting behind the mountains, boats drifting past and the smell of the lake in the air. That’s an ordinary Tuesday for the team at LocalTopia The Wicked Loon in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire – proudly known as “America’s Oldest Summer Resort.”

We’re hiring Servers for the Work & Travel USA summer-to-fall season. If you’re friendly, energetic and ready to earn real money while making friends from around the world, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greeting and seating guests with a genuine, welcoming smile
• Taking food and drink orders and sharing your recommendations from our menu
• Serving meals and beverages promptly at indoor tables and our popular dockside patio
• Checking in with guests to make sure they’re having a great experience
• Processing payments accurately and handling cash and card transactions
• Setting, clearing and resetting tables between guests
• Supporting your teammates during busy lakeside rushes – teamwork is everything here
• Keeping your section clean, stocked and ready to impress

Pay & Benefits

• $3.50 per hour base wage plus tips – tipped servers in busy lakeside restaurants often earn significantly more per hour once gratuities are included
• 32 hours per week, with the possibility of extra shifts during peak season
• Season runs from summer through fall – the longest and most beautiful stretch of the year in New Hampshire
• Meals during shifts and a supportive, close-knit team

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 with valid J-1 Work & Travel sponsorship
• Good conversational English – you’ll be talking with guests all day
• A positive, outgoing personality and a real desire to make people happy
• Ability to stand, walk and carry trays throughout a shift
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with weekends, evenings and holidays
• Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required – we train motivated people
