Imagine starting your shift with the smell of freshly ground espresso in the air and the sound of waves crashing just down the street. At Ocean Spray Cafe in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, you’ll be part of a fast, friendly Cafe Crew serving coffee, cold brew and smiles to beachgoers, surfers and locals all summer long.

This is a classic American Work & Travel experience: a buzzing seaside cafe, a tight-knit international team, and one of New England’s most iconic beach towns as your summer home.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greeting guests with genuine energy and taking orders at the counter and register
• Learning to prepare espresso drinks, iced coffee, cold brew, lattes, smoothies and specialty beverages
• Plating pastries, breakfast sandwiches, snacks and light cafe menu items
• Operating the POS system and handling cash and card payments accurately
• Keeping the espresso bar, counters, dining area and patio clean and guest-ready
• Restocking cups, syrups, milk, pastries and supplies during busy rushes
• Working as a team during peak beach hours – mornings, weekends and holidays

No barista experience needed – full training is provided. Bring your smile and your work ethic, and you’ll be steaming milk like a pro within a couple of weeks.

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 on the Work & Travel USA program
• Conversational to good spoken English – you’ll be talking to guests all day
• A positive, high-energy attitude and a genuine smile
• Ability to stand for long shifts and work at a fast pace
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with early mornings, weekends and holidays
• Team players who want to learn – previous cafe or hospitality experience is a bonus, not a requirement
