At Ocean Spray Cafe in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, you’ll be part of a fast, friendly Cafe Crew serving coffee, cold brew and smiles to beachgoers, surfers and locals all summer long.
This is a classic American Work & Travel experience: a buzzing seaside cafe, a tight-knit international team, and one of New England’s most iconic beach towns as your summer home.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting guests with genuine energy and taking orders at the counter and register
- Learning to prepare espresso drinks, iced coffee, cold brew, lattes, smoothies and specialty beverages
- Plating pastries, breakfast sandwiches, snacks and light cafe menu items
- Operating the POS system and handling cash and card payments accurately
- Keeping the espresso bar, counters, dining area and patio clean and guest-ready
- Restocking cups, syrups, milk, pastries and supplies during busy rushes
- Working as a team during peak beach hours – mornings, weekends and holidays
No barista experience needed – full training is provided. Bring your smile and your work ethic, and you’ll be steaming milk like a pro within a couple of weeks.

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 on the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational to good spoken English – you’ll be talking to guests all day
- A positive, high-energy attitude and a genuine smile
- Ability to stand for long shifts and work at a fast pace
- Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Team players who want to learn – previous cafe or hospitality experience is a bonus, not a requirement
