Become a Jersey Shore Lifeguard This Summer
Imagine starting every shift with the sound of crashing Atlantic waves, the smell of salt in the air, and the boardwalk buzzing behind you. As a Lifeguard at Breakwater Beach, part of the legendary Casino Beach Pier complex in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, you’ll be at the very heart of one of America’s most iconic summer destinations. This is more than a job — it’s a season you’ll talk about for years.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role is all about keeping guests safe while making sure everyone has an amazing time in the water. Day to day, you will:
- Monitor swimmers, slides, and water attractions from your assigned lifeguard station
- Enforce safety rules in a friendly, confident and professional way
- Respond quickly to emergencies and perform rescues, first aid and CPR when needed
- Assist guests with questions, directions and general information
- Help keep pool decks, beach areas and equipment clean, organized and safe
- Participate in ongoing safety training and team briefings

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program
- Strong swimming ability is essential — you must pass a swim test
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- Responsible, alert and calm under pressure
- Friendly, outgoing attitude and a genuine willingness to help people
- Comfortable working outdoors in the sun and heat
- Available for the full Summer to Fall season
