Job duties
- Set up and clean up kitchen and table areas, and sell/prepare various food items for customers.
- Cook or prepare food items according to procedures or recipes.
- Place food items on serving plates or dishes along with required condiments and utensils to present to customers.
- Prepare cold drinks, warm drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages.
- Handle sales, including taking correct orders, entering sales in a cash register, taking money, counting out and giving correct change, and completing credit card transactions.
- Maintain and clean all Food Service areas, including preparation tables, equipment, dishes, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, coolers, sales areas, and customer areas.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, responding to and resolving guest concerns and complaints.
- Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergencies, damages, and safety hazards.
- Attend departmental and team meetings and participate in training courses.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting guests with a smile and taking food and beverage orders at fast-paced boardwalk and waterpark food outlets
- Preparing and serving classic American snacks — think pizza, burgers, fries, hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice cream and cold drinks
- Operating the cash register and handling payments accurately
- Restocking supplies, refilling condiment and drink stations, and monitoring inventory
- Keeping counters, dining areas, and kitchen spaces clean and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards
- Working as part of a team to keep service quick and lines moving during busy summer rushes
What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English — enough to take orders and chat with guests
- A friendly, positive attitude and genuine customer-service mindset
- Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- Team spirit and a sense of humour — the boardwalk is busy, but it’s fun!
