Basin Harbor is a family-run resort with 139 years of hospitality behind it, set on 700 acres of lakefront property on Lake Champlain in Vergennes, Vermont, between the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks.
The idea here is to work hard and play hard. Housing is affordable with no housing deposit, and if you complete your agreed term of work you get a rebate of $10 for every paid week of housing. Staff are invited to share the sports on offer – swimming, tennis, golf, cycling, hiking, yoga and more – and shuttles run to local events, shopping and attractions. Montreal, Boston, New York City and Niagara Falls are all within reach. Pack layers, as the weather varies.

Housing
The employer provides housing at Basin Harbor, ranging from single rooms to shared four-person rooms. Rooms include beds, clothing storage, bathrooms with showers, air conditioning and heat, and a refrigerator; bedding and a towel are supplied. There is free WiFi, laundry facilities and meals in the employee cafeteria, with housing located on site.
