Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge is a hotel at the edge of Denali National Park in Alaska, run by Holland America Princess Alaska. Positions include busser, dish steward, prep cook, host and room attendant, and the employer guarantees housing for everyone hired, though you may also arrange your own. The lodge sits more than 50 miles from the nearest larger cities, Anchorage and Fairbanks, and a second job is likely to be available.

General information
Job duties
- Cook or prepare food items according to procedures or recipes.
- Place food items on serving plates or dishes along with required condiments and utensils to present to customers.
- Prepare cold drinks, warm drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Prepare all items quickly and accurately, avoiding waste, in accordance with production and portion requirements and quality standards, while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
- Handle sales, including taking correct orders, entering sales in a cash register, taking money, counting out correct change, giving change to customers, and completing credit card transactions.
- Maintain and clean all food service areas including preparation tables, equipment, dishes, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, coolers, sales areas, and customer areas such as tables, chairs, serving lines, and condiment stands.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service and respond to and resolve guest concerns and complaints.
- Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.
- Attend departmental and team meetings and participate in additional training courses.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner.
- Move to different locations or job assignments within the property as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for energetic, friendly university students to join our restaurant team as Bussers for the Summer to Fall season. If you want a Work & Travel USA experience that’s genuinely unforgettable, this is it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables quickly and efficiently between guests
- Supporting servers with drink refills, bread service and guest requests
- Restocking service stations with silverware, glassware, napkins and condiments
- Carrying bus tubs to the dish area and assisting the kitchen team during busy periods
- Keeping dining areas, floors and service zones spotless and guest-ready
- Greeting guests with a warm smile and helping create a memorable dining experience
Pay & Benefits
- $13.00 per hour with approximately 40 hours per week

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 program
- Conversational English and confidence speaking with guests
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 15–20 kg throughout your shift
- Team spirit and flexibility with early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Availability for the full Summer to Fall season
