Positions are in Recreation, Busser and Housekeeping – classic summer hotel work with plenty of guest contact. In your free time there are beach and boating activities, a lively downtown with shopping and restaurants, and local community events. Philadelphia is about 1.5 hours away and New York City about 3 hours.
The job as Beach Attendant/Pool attendant
What you'll do
- Retrieve clean towels from the laundry
- Retrieve ice for the coolers
- Greet each guest with a courteous and friendly smile, providing exceptional customer service
- Set up chairs, towels and umbrellas for guests
- Ensure the cleanliness of all chairs and umbrellas
- Ensure the beach area is free from trash and debris
- Set up cabanas
- Collect chairs and umbrellas and store/secure them in the proper location at the end of the day
- Collect and bag soiled towels and transport them back to the hotel laundry
- Work as a pool attendant at least one day per week
- Sweep the pool deck and all surrounding areas daily
- Straighten pool furniture regularly, ensuring it is clean and in working order
- Monitor individuals entering the pool area to ensure they are hotel guests
- Ensure all posted pool rules are being adhered to
- Ensure pool bathrooms are clean, stocked with supplies and free of standing water
- Clean shower areas and surrounding common areas as needed
- Fold towels and perform other housekeeping type duties when beach and pool occupancy is low
