About the employer
Momentum of Charlevoix is a retail company run by Michael Enterprises Inc. in Charlevoix, a small town in Northern Michigan that offers a genuine small-town American experience. Summers are pleasant and sunny, a comfortable 65–80°F during the day, and Lake Michigan and nearby Lake Charlevoix are great for boating, swimming, hiking and beach days.
The work environment is professional, team-oriented and guest-focused, so you'll interact a lot with American coworkers and visitors, many of them tourists. You're expected to provide friendly, high-quality service. Because the town is small, students often build close friendships with coworkers and other international participants.

Why Charlevoix, Michigan?
Charlevoix sits between Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix and Round Lake – yes, three lakes surrounding one small, picture-perfect town. Locals call it “Charlevoix the Beautiful”, and after your first sunset over the water you’ll understand why.
In your free time you can swim and paddleboard at Michigan Beach, hunt for the famous Petoskey stones along the shore, cycle the scenic trails, explore the fairy-tale “Mushroom Houses”, catch the ferry to Beaver Island or take a road trip to Mackinac Island and Traverse City. The town’s summer festivals, farmers markets and lakeside concerts make every week feel like a holiday – even while you’re working.
